I am not a Canadian but it's not a rude term -- one of the Canadian

hockey
teams is the Vancouver Canucks! Of course, it IS considered rude if you

add
the foul expletive that rhymes with Canuck -- *that's* not at all nice!!

As a Canadian, I've never considered it rude. We call ourselves that. But then YMMV.
