Default L. A. garment district fabric shopping tour

Welcome to the first annual (we hope!) It's Sew L. A. tour. Your tour
guides, ASG members, Donna Springer and Suzy Hutton have wonderful fun
planned for you.

Everything is in place except the web site which is under
construction. You can keep checking http://www.its-sew-la.com/

Tour Dates:
Tuesday. March 25 - Saturday. March 29.

Your cost of $960 per person includes:

hotel room, double occupancy at the Shreraton Hotel in downtown Los
Angeles. (Single supplement + $426) (If you will be traveling alone
and would like to share, let us know. We can try to put you with a
roommate.)

Bus trip to a unique fabric shopping experience

tour of FIDM - Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising which
includes the exhibit of costumes worn in movies nominated for Academy
Awards

all day shopping in Los Angeles' garment district with a tour of one
of the better known stores

tour of Otis, school of fashion design

shopping time in the jewelry district

two nights of embellishment classes at your hotel: first night will be
needle felting. Second night will be beading on fabric both by hot fix
crystals and hand sewn.

Potterage and baggage handling fee.

You will be responsible for air fare, meals, and of course, all that
fabric shopping!

If you make your return trip in the afternoon on Saturday, you can use
the morning to check out the monthly Saturday sale at the Cal Mart.
The Cal Mart normally is for wholesale buyers only, but once a month
the basement sale is open to the public.

We need to emphasize that we will be relying on public transportation
and our own two feet for most of the time. You need to be able to
walk city blocks while carrying fabric.

YOur deposit fee of $450 is due 12/20/07.
Final payment of $510 is due 1/25/08.
