Hand quilting vs. machine quilting
Finally I'm at the last stage of quilting. And the next question has
arisen currently what type of quilting should I choose? Hand quilting definitely takes double time as my stitching far away from being both neat and nimble. However, I’ve found that during machine quilting I manage to pull the material so hard towards the stitch end, even basting can’t help me to avoid waving on the end. Could you point me out my basic mistakes? ThanX in advance. |

Sounds like you need more machine quilting practice, but on a small piece.
Practice is boring, but it pays off. You need to reach a point where your hands move the fabric automatically at the right pace for the speed of the needle. When you don't have to think about that any more, then you can concentrate on the weight of larger pieces. And hand quilting takes just as much practice. Be willing to take the time it takes.
