JoAnn's Cozy Flannel
So, it looks like Joann's Cozy Flannel is actually some rugged stuff. I
couldn't pull apart threads like I can on most other flannels. Anyone else have any experience with finished garments from this stuff? I'm thinking about doing a shirt out of their Rust/Copper color. |

JoAnn's Cozy Flannel (duh=A0who) So, it looks like Joann's Cozy Flannel is actually some rugged stuff. I couldn't pull apart threads like I can on most other flannels. Anyone else have any experience with finished garments from this stuff? I'm thinking about doing a shirt out of their Rust/Copper color. --- If that is their heavyweight flannel, it appears to be sturdy stuff. I wouldn't take time to make a shirt out of the lighter weight flannel, but the heavyweight looks durable enough for menswear. Remember to buy enough yardage so that you can match the plaid at the seams. The light weight flannel makes decent twin sized bed sheets for cold winters, though. The spaces between the weave traps warmth. I used to make my kids' sheets. Nothing cozier when you top the sheets with a feather comforter. Cea shivering in about -10*wind-chill evening |

Remember to buy
enough yardage so that you can match the plaid at the seams. And enough that you can preshrink it! Flannel can shrink a lot, and it's way better to do that before you sew it up. The Voice of Grim Experience, Karen Maslowski in Cincinnati |
