S.E.X. and housework! And a few good healing wishes needed.
Love S.E.X, hate housework! Did the first yesterday (I was in Tunbridge
Wells, buying wedding dress and bridesmaid fabric with a client, and picked up a few FQ's for squishing with), and need to pay for it by doing the second today! Mind you, as I'm planning to tidy up the sewing room after making 2 pairs of jeans, rearranging the house to fit the stuff that I couldn't send to the shed, having the conservatory dismantled, and those red bridesmaids, the housework won't be too onerous, and will mean that I'll have room to get on with finishing putting the zips in the Cub's loo tents and getting on with some much needed quilt therapy! I shall also dig the treadle on the landing out from under the tent and sleeping bags that have been roosting there since James and Alan came back from camp on Sunday evening. Alan good do with some healing vibes: he's just been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, after using the nail gun to clad the shed in a hurry so we could put the stuff in it and clear the area for the builders... -- Kate XXXXXX R.C.T.Q Madame Chef des Trolls Lady Catherine, Wardrobe Mistress of the Chocolate Buttons http://www.katedicey.co.uk Click on Kate's Pages and explore! |

Tell Allen that the carpal tunnel pain will subside over time. Well, as
long as he leaves the nail gun at the hardware store...........LOL. I developed it from factory work, but followed my doctor's advice and quit the job--didn't need the surgery. My carpal tunnel/tendonitis thing still gives me some trouble, but I've learned to live with it. Just a matter of learning to cope with limitations. Oddly enough, the brace helps most if you wear it at night. According to a
doctor, it seems we don't want to keep our wrists in the right position while we sleep, though we may concentrate on the position during the day. So wearing the brace at night is particularly helpful. -- Carolyn in The Old Pueblo If it ain't broke, you aren't trying. --Red Green If it ain't broke, it ain't mine. --Carolyn McCarty If at first you don't succeed, switch to power tools --Red Green If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer. --Carolyn McCarty "IMS" wrote in message ... Hi Kate, Ouch....I've had carpal tunnel, it's not pleasant. Am sending healing vibes Alan's way. The wrist brace isn't fun to wear but that's what helps! -Irene -------------- You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. --Mae West -------------- |

Ok, that first paragraph held a surprise in it. You went from fancy dresses to loo tents. I know what a loo is, but I really want to read more about the tents. Why are you making more than one, and where did you come up with the idea and pattern? I've been known to camp in places without facilities, but never thought of making a whole tent, just hung tarps for screening. Not as nice as a tent, but workable due to fast assembly and fast removal when breaking camp. Debra in VA See my quilts at http://community.webshots.com/user/debplayshere |

These are the tents that house the Chemi-Khazi's when the ubs are camping where there are no lavatory facilities. They bought them years ago. All I'm doing is replacing the zips. Not as nice as a tent, but workable due to fast assembly and fast removal when breaking camp. These go up on frames just like a standard tent. We see them all over in camp sites here. I've even seen them rigged up as shower tents! Let me see if i can find a picture or a pattern... Poor Alan!
I just don't see how doing housework the next day should be compensation for having s.E.X. the day before. Not unless you're getting paid by the hour. Why do we think we have to pay for pleasure? Especially fabric pleasure? After all, we need to buy fabric before we can sew fabric. And we ought to be able to do anything we want just for fun, as long as it's legal! Thank you for taking the time to post a link to one. I can't wait to show DH this website. He loves new camping supplies, and we seem to have one of everything sold around here. I'm sure the site has more than one thing we don't have yet. Thanks again. Debra in VA See my quilts at http://community.webshots.com/user/debplayshere |
