Default Piecing borders

Chris, there are no no-nos! You do what you need to get your quilt
looking the way you want it with what you have, or can get your hands on!

I want to put a 2 inch inside border on a trip around the world quilt I am
making. However, I only have 1 yard of fabric. If I piece it, I should
have enough. It is a dark Hoffman Bali. Is this a no-no or is it
acceptable?
