For those in the northern bit of the UK - there's a lovely display of
Northern Lights right now (11:45 pm Monday)

The summer before last we had the most *incredible* display of
Northern Lights I've ever seen! They were *bright fuschia* and they
were dancing *all* over the sky. I called my dad to tell him to drive
out of town to look at them, but he waited too long and then accused
me of making it up! I was avenged the next day when they had pics in
the newspaper. Years ago I also saw them where they met up at the
top of the sky and there was a blank circle in the middle, out of
which they radiated. *Very* cool!

I've seldom seen the pink but I always find the Northern Lights a
curious sight. Ethereal best describes it. I know what they are,
but they still have this 'other worldly' sort of feel.

I feel deprived. I've just seen pictures. They can't be seen in New York,
I don't know if its because of the lights or the location, and FL is
definitely too far south.

Same here. I've seen pictures, even video, but never seen them live. I
was sooooo hoping that when I went to Canada I'd get to see them, but no
such luck.
