Default Help for our categories

Hello all,

Excuse me barging in, but I need some expert help.

I am the Network Manager for Kaqoo. We are re-vamping our categories
and want to ask the experts what we should show under "Arts & Crafts"
"Beading". This is what we have at the moment:

Crystal, Lampwork & Glass
Findings
Kits & Patterns
Loose Rhinestones
Other Beads
Seed
Shell, Bone
Stone
Supplies
Vintage, Antique

Have I missed anything obvious? Is there something I should add?

You can see the category here if it helps visualise it better:
http://us.kaqoo.com/index.php?act=list&category=7163

All help gratefully acknowledged.

I don't know that I would look for them under Arts & Craft. I
normally go directly to the jewelry section. But I think they could go
in either place.

That looks pretty good. there are also pewter or metal beads but they
could go in other. Clay is another possible category. There is
something to be said for dividing these things into handmade vs mfg or
mass produced as that's a distinction with a difference. Also
wholesale vs retail.

A lot of ppl who buy glass would like to differenciate between Czech,
Chinese, Indian, etc. You might also have a category for precious metal.

Hi All,

Thank you all so much for your help so far. This is now what I have
including some sub-categories:

Clay |
Crystal, Lampwork & Glass | Chinese | Czech | Indian
Findings |
Kits, Patterns |
Loose Rhinestones |
Metal |
Other Beads |
Precious Metal |
Seed |
Shell, Bone |
Stone |
Supplies |
Vintage, Antique

You would not believe how difficult this can be sometimes! We had a
huge discussion here about Arts & Crafts v Jewelry and just look at
the first reply. :-)

Now I have a couple more questions from the topics you've raised about
handmade and wholesale. Do you think I should add these as separate
categories with some sub-categories? If so, which?
