Default OT No Fireworks

No fireworks for 4th of July. I've been so long in the North that I don't
even think about it anymore. We still have no dark, or even twilight so
there's not much point in a light display. And of course firecrackers are
also a fire hazard. Pete did suggest we could shoot off our guns instead;
or even shoot off our mouths.

It was very hot though, probably close to 90. We had a BBQ. Pork loin cut
into chops, yum. That's part of our summer tactic to avoid cleaning pots
and pans. We only grill once or twice a week in winter, and if it's more
than 20 below, not at all.

The birds have been very noisy all day today, but have been quiet since the
clouds have begun rolling in. So glad to see the dimming is from clouds
instead of fires. We've been lucky so far, especially after such a dry
winter.

My garden had a late start, what with jury duty all of May, so I didn't
start getting the beds prepared until after June first. Good thin we've had
decent rains. It's probably about to start again. Or at least it sound
like we're getting thunder. With Global Warming there sure are a huge
increase in thunder storms here, among other changes.

Hope everyone else has flowers and vegetables growing, and wild critters too
if they like them like I do.

Tina
