Default Is ths a good deal? Grace Quilting Sewing Frame +Janome 1600 Sewing Machine

Does anyone know if this is a good deal and a good setup? I showed this to
my husband in October never thinking he would actually buy it for me, but to
my surprise, he told me today to go ahead and order it. Before I do that, I
thought I'd ask here because I know how knowledgeable you all are (I've been
lurking here for months) and I know someone will have an answer for me.

TIA!!!

these but have them on my wish list. I was interested to read what
people said.

Default Nevermind

I sent the wrong url and didn't have time to go looking for the right one.
I thought I would try again tomorrow. I would still be interested in what
people have to say about it. I sent the company an email with some stupid
questions I had, but as of yet, they haven't gotten back to me, so it looks
like I won't be ordering it today.

No idea about prices, but please don't buy one if you haven't tried it out.
At a quilt show a few years ago, I was able to test drive the Grace (with a
different machine) as well as a longarm and another "home machine" system
the name of which I have forgotten. Grace was better than that other system,
but absolutely no comparison with the longarm. And I thought the wooden
frame was a bit clunky, but YMMD.

Thanks Roberta. I have no idea where I would even find one around here to
try it out. We don't even have a local quilt shop. I may have just missed
it but I don't think there has even been a quilt show in my area either. I
buy my fabric online because the only choices here for fabric is Hobby
Lobby, Wal-Mart and Hancock fabrics.

I tried this one and I really liked it. If I were to buy a machine frame,
this is the one I'd pick. I like the construction, and the fact that it can
be folded up (not easily, but then that just shows how sturdy it is). It is
also alot closer to my budget than any of the long-arm machines. I also like
the Janome 1600 with it.

Thanks so much for your input, Wendy. Is it as big as it looks? I'm
beginning to wonder if it will be way too big for my sewing room. My sewing
room is only 10.5x13.5.

They also have this one and I'm wondering if this might fit better in my
sewing room. Do you know anything about this one?
