Default Loom Tubes

Has anyone ever used a loom tube? I'd love to hear what you think. They
look like a great way to make amulets.

What I'm wondering about is the bracelet loom.

http://www.sharonbateman.com/project_looms.htm (doesn't show the bracelet
loom, but shows the others)

What is the point of the bracelet tube loom unless you just don't have a
loom? The tubes are so you don't end up with all the cut threads, but with
a strip bracelet, you're going to end up with the threads, so it's not any
different than a regular loom.

Oh, and another reason I was thinking about the tube looms is because I
could get hubby to make them for me, for the kids. I think you could just
cut some PVC pipe in half, and sand it, and that would be really CHEAP!

I thought the same thing when I saw them in the link. The pics there

I may play with some PVC and try it. This would be a really easy way to
make them for my kids.
