Default Help with size of needles for bookmarks!!

Hi all.. I have several bookmark patterns that call for a size 3
needle.. I don't have one on hand and I want to make some to sell to
make extra money since things are still tough for me and my BF..
Can I use a size 2 or a size 4?
Any ideas on this??

Knitters often find they need to use a different size needle to get the
gauge they want. Try the size 2 if you think you knit loosely or the size 4
if you think you knit tightly. Or try both to see which gives the best
results.

If you are knitting a sweater and it comes out 10% too big or too
small, you have a problem. But when knitting a bookmark, or even a
throw, if the size is not exact, it really does not matter. So go with
the needles you have.
