A scale is absolute - not "generally"
(Unless it's something that's just not scaled properly)

1" means 1 inch = 1 foot; that's 1:12 or 1/12

Half-inch is 1/2 inch to the foot, or 1:24, this is close to a 1:25
plastic model car scale, and also close to the "G" scale (LGB Trains)
which is 1:22.5

Quarter-inch is 1/4 inch to the foot, or 1:48. This is the same as "O"
Scale model railroad, and the ONLY common dollhouse scale that matches
common model railroad scales.

HO (Half-O) scale is 1/87, not the 1/96 (1/8" scale) used for some
architectural models, because it's based on the track gauge, not the
scale.

There's also a 3/4" dollhouse scale, such as Lundby houses; that's 1:16

A dollhouse in a dollhouse is 1:12 of 1:12 , or 1:144
"N" Gauge rail is 1:160, and many accessories look just fine in a 1:144
mini dollhouse.

I didn't know that. I mean I KNEW that. ....

They say that while two negatives make a positive, two positives never
make a negative.
Yeah. Right.

Where did I leave my morning cup of coffee ...
