Default Yellow Brick Road

I just finished a Yellow Brick Road baby quilt (the instructions were
screwed up something AWFUL) and I was wondering how it should be quilted.
My guess is in the ditch.

The other couple of full sized quilts that I have done have lent themselves
to obvious quilting designs. But this one has me stumped.

Any thoughts?

Cindy

I did an all over swirly design and was very happy with how that came
out.

I bet I know where they went wrong, because I experienced this the first
time I made the quilt. They will give you instructions to make a portion of
a block...then say for example they say repeat five times. I read that to
mean do it the one time and then repeat five more times for a today of six.
But what they really mean is do it five times total. Fortunately I had extra
fabric the first time around. I made a notation on the pattern so I wouldn't
do it again. All future YBRs I made have been just perfect since.

I did a YBR in doggie prints a few years ago, and I quilted it all over
with paws, dog bones and doggie words (bow-wow, etc.). I had fun with
that! You can see it at the bottom of the page he

Cindy, is this the pattern for Atkinson design? I've made this quilt often.
It is one of my all time favorite because I tend to make it using a theme
(bugs etc.). The instructions could have been better written. I just
looked at the picture now. As for MQ, I tend to meander all over using
variegated thread. Can't wait to see pictures.

I quilted mine with an all over meandering -- it blended very nicely
and was quick and easy.

Hi Cindy,

I screwed up my cutting somehow when I did it too. Anyway.....here's mine.

Unfortunately, you can't see the quilting on it. I had it long arm quilted and
it's just an all over meandering and I love it.
