De-wrinkling batting
For a particular project I have just bought a pre-packaged Hobbs (yes,
Ragmop, I *know* it is made in Texas) Polydown batt. My problem is that the ends in particular are all creased up from being squished into its plastic bag. What is the best way to get it to lie flat again? If it were cotton I would take the steam iron to it, but being poly I don't want to melt it. Any ideas? Thanks Lizzy in Heywood UK |

De-wrinkling batting
I usually toss the batting into the dryer on "air fluff" for a few
minutes. If a wrinkle is really stubborn, I will spray it lightly with a little water before it gets the dryer treatment. marcella In article , Lizzy Taylor wrote: For a particular project I have just bought a pre-packaged Hobbs (yes, Ragmop, I *know* it is made in Texas) Polydown batt. I've been letting one relax on the guest bed for about 2 weeks, the wrinkles
are still there. You can steam the squishes out. Don't touch the batting with the iron, just hover over it while you pat and pull just a little. You can also press it with a low setting on the iron but for goodness sake, use a press cloth. Polly "Lizzy Taylor" wrote in message ...
