Sampler Lecture/Exhibit-Florida

Just passing on some info from a Sampler Guild I belong to in Florida,
they have an interesting event coming up.

Sampler lecture/slide show
I am forwarding the following message from Jill de Leeuw, owner of the
Azalea House B&B and a member of the sampler guild. On June 26, 2004
the North Florida Azalea Sampler Guild is pleased to be presenting a
lecture and slide show by Lorraine Mootz of the Stickmuster Museum in
Celle Germany. This is a 2 hour slide show presentation. It will be held
at the Holiday Inn Riverfront in Palatka, Florida from 1PM to 3PM. Ms.
Mootz is the docent of the Stickmuster Museum and is an authority on
samplers. Along with being a docent she has also charted many of the
museum's samplers (available through Permin & selected needlework shops)
and she has an extensive collection of antique samplers. This is an
exciting event we have planned and the tickets are limited. Along with
the slide show there will be a display of Reproduction Samplers for
viewing on Saturday and Sunday @ The Azalea House Bed & Breakfast here
in Palatka, Florida. The B&B also has a counted cross stitch shop on
site, where many of the displayed samplers charts will be available for
purchase. The hours for the sampler exhibit will be Saturday the 26th,
10 to 1 and 3-5. On Sunday the hours will be 12-4.
The price for the Slide Show/Talk will be $10.00. There are a few rooms
left at the Bed & Breakfast for those who may need lodging 386-325-4547
