Default Bali fabric deals??

If you need less than FQs of each, it might be worth your while to host a
swap! I've hosted lots and lots of them, and it's fun and easy!

I was wondering if anyone knew where to purchase bali fat quarters
cheap. I'm making a bargello double twist and need 42 different
fabrics that coordinate :-o I'm actually looking forward to trying
my hand at color coordinating all of them though. I belong to the
bali club of the month at Keepsake Quilting, so that's been a big
help. You never know what you're going to get though, and some months
none of the 6 fat quarters are anything I can use. They're still
great for stash building!! I'm trying to go with mostly solid-ish
looking fabrics, so I don't have distraction with too many prints.
Part of me is considering hand dying fabrics to blend with what I
find. I have no experience with dye though, so it could be quite
disastrous!

My inspiration for trying this hailed from Eldrid Royset Forde of
Sweden. I stumbled across her web site a couple of months ago.

Regards,
Nadine from Northern Maine

Basically, figure out what you need, post a set of rules, and have at it! I
hosted a batik swap last year, and we swapped either FEs or 10" squares. You
can google for rules of other swaps, or I'll be happy to answer any
questions off-list for you. My last swap was a Halloween fabric one, in
which we swapped FEs of either novelty Halloween fabrics, or coordinate
prints. I always put the word "rules" in my post, so you should be able to
bring up quite a few in a google group search for RCTQ.

If you want to email me for more detailed answers to questions, my email is

Well, if you decide to host one, I'm interested!

Thanks for the advice. I'll do a little research and come up with a
plan! I'm looking for mostly blues, so maybe a color theme would work
best for that.
