Default black cotton batts?

Does anybody know a reputable source for black COTTON batts?

I'm asking for a friend. She can get a black polyester batt locally
where she lives, but she'd prefer cotton if at all possible.

Thanks in advance!

I know Hobbs makes one, since I used it! However, I bought it at the
Hobbs booth in Houston last fall, and I'm not sure where else to get it.
Perhaps you could go to the Hobbs site and see if they list vendors?

Hancock's of Paducah carries it:
http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/shop...otton_Batting/
I know some have complained about their service but I have never had any
problems. I've never ordered fabric, only batting and notions; it seems
many of the problems have to do with fabric orders.

try Hancocks of Peducah. I just call Wal-mart and they will order anything
I ask for. I was there Friday and a lady came in and picked up 5 CASES of
quilt batting. I just dropped to one knee and crossed myself - now that's a
quilter!!

The Soft and Black made by the Warm Company is polyester. Can't
recall if it's a blend or not, though. I have half a roll sitting
here, waiting for me to use it. It does have a really nice hand, and
doesn't act like most poly, but it is slightly fluffier than W&N.

I've been ordering fabric from the regular hancocks -
http://www.hancockfabrics.com/index.jsp - for years with the only problem
being they don't update their web site often enough to let you know when
they are out of a particular print. I don't find out until the shipment
comes in and the particular print is missing and the invoice tells me it is
on back order. They have wonderful clearance sales and send coupon savings
codes that are easy to use on line on their snail mail flyers.

Hancocks of Peducah isn't viewer friendly. Sometimes I like to go browsing
but I must rely on the paper snail mail catalog for that instead of on-line.

Have you checked with Sew Much More? I know they have black batts, but
not the fiber content.

I'm worried about how the flooding is hitting Grandmother's Thimble. I
hope everything will be ok there, but I sincerely doubt it if the
restaurant up the road is as flooded as the paper shows. A pic of the
restaurant is he

Have you checked their website lately? It's been redesigned. You might
find it a bit easier, then again, you might not. Could be worth a look
though.
