having a quilt made

A friend of mine wants to have a quilt made. Her mother died this year,
and she'd like to have some of her mom's clothes turned into a
queen-sized (more or less) quilt. Any ideas of what she could expect to
pay someone to do this for her? I know there are a lot of variables, but
if I could give her some kind of range it would be helpful.

Here's a link to a shop near me that shows their prices for projects. A
bit higher than some areas of the country but at least it gives her a
general idea. Their work is fabulous. Be sure your friend asks to see
the persons work before hiring, she would not want an unhappy surprise.
