Default some finishes for me

Me too. Log Cabin 2 is lovely. I would never have thought about that "same
colour" co-ordination. I've added it to my favourites. Once the "I Don't
Like It" quilt is quilted and done I might just think about putting one like
yours together for my bed.
Thanks for the inspiration

For those of you who remember me asking about thick batting some time
ago, and remember what I wanted it for, you may be interested in
seeing what I did with it!

I made a log cabin quilt for my king size bed using the quilt as you
go technique. And placed the blocks in a mountain pattern. Judge for
yourself!

I have also made a test version of a lone star pattern using the
quiltsmart technique.

Don't know if this one will ever get quilted, but like the
technique.

Ooh, I like that idea, Jeanne. Hmmm. If I ever develop the skills, I may
have to make this one myself.

i'd not seen that before either, that i recall anyhow, Bronnie.
did you look at the other blocks they do that way?
i use regular interfacing method for applique (rather than the fuseable).
never thot to use it as they have for those designs.
looks do-able and rather useful to me.

I wonder what the 'quiltsmart' technique is? Aren't we all smart??

what skills, Michelle?
i'm currently trying to decipher in my head if it is
possible to do an applecore by 3D method and reversible
using front and back material rather than interfacing.
tho interfacing might be required in the first place. sorry,
its too hard to splain when my brain is still think'n on it.
just occurred (2r's?) to me this morning it might work.
i do love 3D with folded corners rolled back on themselves
for curves.
thats why i thot it might work with applecores.
still too early in initial thunk'n process to elaborate,
j.

Yes Jeanne, had a good look around the site and checked out books
online which give the pattern instructions and the printed interfacing
for about $34 which sounds reasonable. Never wanted to make a LS with
the traditional method, but this quite interests me. My quilty
neighbour made the traditional one, and a tiny error in the template
size magnified the mistake to totally ruin the finished star...it was
so sad, she had pieced it all by hand.

Hmmm Jeanne, I don't know what the 3D method is. Although I've made a
couple of applecore tablerunners and do enjoy the pattern. I hand-pieced
them.
