HI Gaye,
I haven't found any books primarily on glaze spraying, but if you do - let me know. I have many books which have sections on glazing techniques, from dipping, sponging to spraying. I use the spray method, more than dipping, I prefer the more eveness that you get with the spray and the blending between two glazes that you cant get with dipping. Try experimenting with masking tape, latex, and wax resist to create design patterns. I am toying with the idea of incorporating natures own images into my work in the form of ferns and leaves, but I dont think my husband would appreciate me pulling the garden plants apart. So I am looking for a good alternative - silk, or plastic which I can hold in front whilst I spray. You can get away with the glazes being a little thicker than you need with the dipping method too! It might be an idea to look at books that refer to airbrushing techniques to get some ideas. JM |
