Default Knitting in paintings

Hi!

This is one of the most famous Swedish paintings, "the window with flowers":

http://www.carllarsson.se/s_pict4.htm

It's a Carl Larsson's watercolor from 1899.
The little girl in the painting is the painter's daughter Suzanne.
The painting is part of a book called, "A home", in wich the painter
describes how a house can be decorated with simple resources.

I saw the painting many times but I never noticed until today the
knitting stuff on the table...

Hugs,

Anna Maria
