Default Sewing/Basting fabric to scroll bars

I am just having a heck of a time with this. Any secrets to making it
easier? I feel like I have 2 left hands (or two right hands!)

Don't baste, use safety pins!

Pin one corner, then the other. Then put a pin in the middle. Then
decide if you need more pins.

I use straight pins at a 90 degree angle and pin the fabric to the fabric
edge on the wooden dowel. Then I run it through the sewing machine - wood
dowel to the left so it doesn't get caught in the machine. Works perfect
for me!

Thanks... Karen, I guess the pins aren't too bulky or you wouldn't be
using them.
Next time I will try the straight pins to hold it while I baste it on.
DW has a sewing machinge buts its buried most of the time (incuding
now).

I hates qsnaps, I does.

Bag 'em and stitch in hand, unless there's cut work involved. I have a
set of LocScrolls that don't involve basting.

Thanks. I have a set of EZ Stitch scroll bars with the velcro and that
works pretty well.
