Hancock's Embroidery Floss

I was in the local (as in 50 miles) Hancock's about a month ago. I
saw some floss that at first glance looked like the DMC label. Then I
looked closer and it was a brand called Sullivan. I have never heard
of it but found it on the web and one of my wholesale suppliers has
it.
The manager at the Hancock's said they were not going to carry the DMC
any more, just this Sullivan brand. I compared some of the colors and
they are several shades off in conversion.

According to the Sullivans website at http://www.sullivans.net/usa "We
now have over 450 colors for you to choose from, all of the highest
quality and have comparable colors to all other major brands."
I'm colour blind but to me "comparable" is a whole world away from
"equivalent" g
