Hopefully the saga of my sewing machine is over (to refresh, I brought a
brand new Brother QC1000 at the beginning of the December, it's been
back to the workshop twice due to skipping stitches when free motion
quilting, accompanied by some very odd sounds), it got back from the
workshop Monday and I tried it out straight away, it skipped stitches
instantly, being optimistic I changed the needle, but it was obvious it
wasn't working from the sounds. Took it back into the shop Tuesday
morning and they agreed to replace it, but they didn't have one in, so I
picked a new one up today. They also gave me a 50 dollar gift card as an
apology for my troubles.

So, fingers crossed! I'm tired and my neck is giving warnings of spasm,
but I think I'm going to try it straight away!

Wow... $50! Think of the fabric you can get for that. :^)

Fingers are suitably knotted! Do report back - and STOP before you get
your neck in a knot! We'd hate you to have a new machine all ready to
go and be unfit to play with it!

Hope your new machine is purring right along and that your neck is
spasm-free (so you can truly enjoy your new machine.) Glad the shop gave you
the gift card (you EARNED it and MORE from the frustration you went through
with the "new" machine!
