Materials:
Crocheted Shawl: Bulky-weight yarn Jiffy (100% Acrilan® Acrylic, 135 yards
per 3 oz skein) by Lion Brand: 8 skeins #99 Fisherman. Crochet hook size

Sizes: Both shawls approx 60" across; approx 80" long.

Knit: 3 sts = 1" in St st.
To save time, take time to check your gauge.

Notes

Crochet: Turning ch counts as a st.

Knit: Work back and forth in rows. Circular needle is used to hold the
large number of sts.
Crocheted Shawl
Set-up Row 1: Ch 5, dc in 4th ch from hook (first 3 chs count as 1 dc), and

2 sc in top of turning ch--7 sc; turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in first st and in each st across, working 2 dc in top of
turning ch--9 dc; turn.
Row 3: Rep Row 2--11 dc; turn.
Rep Rows 1-3 for pat (do not rep set-up rows) until there are 151 sts.
Fasten off.

Fringe
For each fringe, cut 4 strands, 12" long. With all 4 strands held tog, fold
in half. Insert hook through end of dc row and pull folded loop through,
then bring ends through loop and tighten.

Work 1 fringe in end of each dc row across both longer sides of shawl. Trim
ends even.
