Potholder Pattern?
Once upon a time at a craft show, I saw quilted potholders that were made with
a sort of two-sided pocket on the back for your fingers and thumb. I Googled for a pattern, but can't find one. Anyone know what I'm talking about---and, better yet, where I can get a pattern? hmmmmm, i got one similar.
its a long one, width of a regular potholder and length of your longest pan+enough to get your hands round the corners and pick it up...if that makes any sense. its just got single layer pockets handsize on each end. now if i could just recall what they're called...hmmmmmm. ok, just went and got mine. its bout 7 or 8 inches wide and the length of my arm from fingertips to shoulder, hows that for precise, lol. theres a wee loop of fabric to hang it on centre of one side and batted the full length. the hand pockets are fingertip to wrist, single layer of cotton and some binding on the edge. its pretty straight forward really. sorry, dont have a cam to get a pix of it. hth, holler if i've left out any info ya need. jeanne "Nurse Ratched" wrote... | Once upon a time at a craft show, I saw quilted potholders that were made with | a sort of two-sided pocket on the back for your fingers and thumb. You might want to check the Pampered Chef catalogue. They have one that
looks very simple to copy. It is long and had pockets on both ends. HTH -- Sugar & Spice Quilts by Linda E http://community.webshots.com/user/frame242 |

Hi,
I bought a Calico Moon pattern for 5 pocket potholders--their website catalog is at http://www.boxabilities.com/pages/catalog.html (it's item P-1001 "Too Hot to Handle"). debbe On 21 Sep 2003 21:36:03 GMT, uckoo (Nurse Ratched) wrote: Once upon a time at a craft show, I saw quilted potholders that were made with a sort of two-sided pocket on the back for your fingers and thumb. Neither of these is what I saw, but I like them both and plan to try them.
