Default Thank You From Janet Walker

I don't know how to say thank you enough for the {{{HUGS}}} quilt. I'm
overwhelmed with the kindness ya'll have shown to a stranger who doesn't
even quilt!! This has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
It's so hard to go from a house full of a lifetime to nothing in the span of
45 minutes.

The quilt is beautiful! It is the first of my new treasures for my second
life. I'm thinking I will live two lives; one before the fire and one after
the fire.

I took the quilt to work yesterday to show it off. Everyone was so
impressed! I work at Plaid (the craft company) and they are going to do a
story about the quilt for our employee newsletter. I'll make sure Tia Mary
gets a copy and she can share it with everyone. I can't believe how fast
the quilt was completed. When Mary gave it to me, it had been only 23 days
since the fire. That must be some kind of speed record!

I haven't cross stitched since the fire but have purchased something to work
on. I think I'm ready to begin my first piece since the fire.

Thanks again everyone for your generosity and prayers.

Janet! It's Janet, guys! In person! Janet, we are so glad you have your
hug quilt, and your new kitties. All those different kind of cuddles.......
Yes, I'd say you are started on a nice new beginning for your life after the
fire. All the best to you,

Karen, Queen of Squishies

Ha! You would have been fast too if you had TiaMary following you around
nipping at your heels and growling. She can be a bit intimidating. And
didn't she do a marvelous job of putting the blocks together? Well, you
don't quilt, so you don't really know, but Mary is fine, fine at arranging
quilt blocks so that they all make beautiful music together. We were honored
to be a part of your 2nd life, and we are very proud of Master Sgt. TiaMary.

Janet, although I'm so sorry for the reason behind your needing a
{{{{HUG}}}}, I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying it as much as we
enjoyed taking part in its growth.

I'm so glad that this project is giving you so much comfort and
happiness, and I feel privileged to have contributed. You're right,
it will help build memories for this new, second life.... who knows,
maybe Tia Mary can teach you how to quilt as well! You know we'll
always be here for you.

Would you like some cross-stitch supplies (charts, kits, etc.)?? I
sometimes do cross-stitch as well as quilting adn clothing sewing, but
haven't touched anything in a while.

LOL!! I just had to leave Polly's post here. This was too funny! Actually,
mostly true, too, but in a "Good" way. (love ya, Mary! BG)
I was lucky enough to get my blocks in right under the wire, so they made it
in the quilt. I'm also proud to have been able to contribute to your Hug,
Janet.
Best of luck to you on your 'new' life!

Once Mary gets going on something, she *really* gets going! g We're
all so delighted that you like the quilt and that you have some new
little kitties to share your life with. I sure hope Mary's going to post
some photos soon of you with your HUG quilt!
