Who installs YOUR glass
I am looking for good installers for stained glass in Los Angeles, where
code requires door and window installations be done by a licensed contractor. Could you share how you have found contractors to install your glass work? Thanks Z |

The big ones want no part of a small job like this. I do it myself with paid helpers if needed, doing alot of the dirty work. -- JK Sinrod Sinrod Stained Glass Studios http://www.sinrodstudios.com/ Coney Island Memories www.sinrodstudios.com/coneymemories/ |

Well, LA is a pretty big area. You might check with your local Builders
Association. they might be able to refer you to someone. Try the Yellow Pages under "Contractors" or maybe "Carpeters". Double check references and make sure they show you a copy of thier insurance bond. Last option...get you contractors licence and do it yourself...if you can afford it. I hear it's pretty pricey in CA to get it. P.S.: I'd call the Greek Orthodox or Roman Catholic church at their diocesan offices and ask them who installed the glass in their new cathederals. Another possibility is The Getty. You might also want to check the conservation department at The Getty if their building projects or facility manager isn't quick with the information. Regards, Edward Hennessey |
