I don't wanna be the "slow one" in the class, you know? LOL! I want to do a crane and a panda and lots of other stuff. I really enjoy it. Just ordered ten pounds of ivory, so look out. Heheheheh! I'm hoping this practice will make me more confident about my class
with Loren in June. I don't wanna be the "slow one" in the class, you know? LOL! There's nothing to be ashamed of in being the slow one in a class. I'm always one of the slowest -- not because of my brains, but my hands. They won't work as fast because I have fibromyalgia. It used to just kill me to be SLOW.....I needed to be the BEST!......but I got over it. ~~ Sooz ------- "Those in the cheaper seats clap. The rest of you rattle your jewelry." SIGH.
Last night in my dreams, I saw a red tailed Hawk on the split rail fence in my front yard. Well, it wasn't exactly my front yard - it was the yard of the first home my parents ever owned. This morning, I realized it wasn't a dream, but a memory: We once saw a Red Tailed Hawk perched on the fence just before dusk one night. My father (a avid hunter and fisherman), knew the bird at once and got his binoculars so we kids could keep a safe distance while we looked at the bird. It was summertime. I was wearing red shorts, and my toe was sticky because someone spit their gum on the hot asphalt. I waited my turn to look at the bird, and when I saw it, I was unimpressed. I don't know what I wanted, but that wasn't worth being quiet. The the ice cream man started to come up the street. The quiet was shattered as the kids ran to bug their mothers for money. The Hawk decided this now would be a good time to go - and spread its wings. As it flew away and glided along the air currents in the dusky blue sky, I revised my previous opinion. The bird was very beautiful and amazing. I stood on my spot on the sidewalk, toes still stuck in a wad of chewed gum, watching until the bird was out of sight. Then I ran in the house to bug my mother for a nickel for a popsicle (or a dime for a fudgesicle if I was lucky). Kathy N-V ~~ Sooz ------- "Those in the cheaper seats clap. Last night in my dreams, I saw a red tailed Hawk on the split rail fence in my front yard. neat dream. We have a of red tails in this area. I also adore the kestrels -- though they are a rarer sight. One year we had a lot -saw one at least once a week -- last year I saw maybe six all summer. I've wondered if West Nile got a lot of them. West Nile has had a bad impact on a lot of birds (especially raptors) in our area. Cheryl last semester of lawschool! yipee!
