I am looking into designing 3D Jewellery on the computer.
My question is, does anybody know of the different softwares?
Which one is the better software to recommend?

Now a days that is a very vague request. There are numerous 3d programs
available. The better thing to look at is, what do you want to do? Design,
Create, Output to a machine, run a machine, it runs a gambit. The lost runs
from free to $20,000 and above US Dollars. here are some software to run
through Google.com or your favorite search engine.

SDRC Artisan

And I know I missed a bunch,and I apoligize. But it goes back to what do you
want to do. I represent many of these softwares or use some of them personally
