Since we're talking chocolate I want to report that I just saw an ad for something that for me says heavenly. Reese's Peanut Butter Cup wrapped in dark chocolate. Two of my favorite foods. I'm not big on PB unless it's mixed with something else and I *love* dark chocolate! Oddly, I like the original RPBCs w/ milk chocolate better. Joan |

Barf,,,yuck...oh so gross!!!! Spoiling chocolate with that evil stuff, known as PB ( just can't say the name) I don't like PB as a rule, but I do like it in cookies, PB Cups, and some bars that I make that are similar to PBCs...the PB is mixed with sugar and graham crackers and topped with chocolate. They do look great but I rarely bake any more. * In order to bake I would have to empty the oven of the pots and pans I store in there. LOL! Want a recipe for *unbaked* PB bars??? Joan |

Lucky for you, I've given out this recipe often enough I have it on my 'puter at work! lol I make this when I need something in a pinch, since it only takes maybe a half-hour, start to finish and I usually have all the ingredients on hand. Here y'go! Graham cracker-peanut butter bars 2 c. crushed graham crackers (about 12 whole crackers) 3 c. powdered sugar 1 c. peanut butter (creamy actually works best) 1 c. melted butter Mix all together in 9x13 pan and pat down firmly. Frosting 1/2 c. chocolate chips 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. light corn syrup Heat & spread on top. Cool. (I usually double the frosting! ) Enjoy and watch out.....they're addicting! Joan |

I checked on the magic recipe & it looked like much more work than I am usually willing to do. :-) I have a "Buckeye Ball" recipe (as in buckeye trees/Ohio buckeyes) that I make every year. It is peanut butter, butter, powdered sugar & vanilla, rolled into balls and dipped half way into melted chocolate & shortening. YUMMMMMMMM! Except that the balls get bigger as I go since I get tired of rolling the peanut butter mixture. :-)) Liz from Humbug |
