Default Happy Dance times 2

I'm just back from the laundromat. With 2 newly cleaned and finished quilts.
One is a crib sized quilt in civil war fabrics. It is destined for David's
nephew and wife. The other is a seven year in the making, king-sized
monster. I was afraid the monster would never be finished. I started it for
the guest room bed, but it is now more likely to either hang on the wall or
be stored away, depending on whether I can stand to see it and whether the
bad piecing is worthy of any one else seeing it.

Good for you for finishing, Maureen! Do we get to see these quilts? And
I know what you mean about being able to stand seeing a quilt -- I felt
exactly the same way about my Out of Darkness (which I was ready to
consign to permanent darkness!). However, having it out of sight for a
good long time gave me a new perspective on it when I finally saw it
again. G

Isn't it like having a baby? You go to sleep exhausted and wake up the next
morning in love.
