Loved your quilts - and the sweatshirt jacket - and spent a whole lotta time

and projects like it did on my keyboard!) Quickie question.... I've made
several of the chicken pincushions, but would love to know what you used to
keep the scrap-holder bag open....

No, Judy, my quilts are fine, thanks. My scrapbag has a short length
(is that an oxymoron?) of irrigation tubing in it -- you know, the stuff
you use for sprinkler systems! You might even have some in your garage!
I hear that aquarium tubing also works great.

I love this jacket! I don't think that it is busy at all. This is the
best one I have ever seen- and I am not typically a fan of wearable
quilts. Hoping to see it and you in Houston 2004!

Thanks, Julie! I'm so glad you like it. I know what you mean, though,
about warable quilts -- I don't usually go in for that sort of thing,
either. I'm hoping to be in Houston in '04, too, but I'll be there in a
couple of weeks for sure!

Or try a piece of "feather boning" (used in dressmaking). Works fine.

If Sandy doesn't see the question, I can tell you what I used on mine. It
was a plastic tube like you see holding the circular knitting needles
together. You might find something similar if they sell replacement parts
for those (probably unlikely) or you might try the plumbing section of a
hardware store.

Just click on the More Miscellaneous link and scroll
right to the *bottom* of the page -- past the blue jacket and a few
other things until you get to the black/beige-y one.

Thanks to you and Elena for some good ideas on keeping the scrap bag open.
Now to scout around and see what I have in the shed/basement/barn! Or my
local TSWLTH.
