About hairpin lace
Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Wally all carry hairpin lace forks. Tho now
I see you aren't in the US, looking at your email address. You might try this German website. I've done business with her in the past and can recommend her as a good vendor: http://bastelundhobbykiste.de/ On Mon, 03 Nov 2003 16:13:42 GMT, Ria Van de Velde wrote: So this year during family weekend, I want to do hairpin lace (still prefer Forcella) with my little nieces. I have no idea whether I will be able to find those forks, and I would need at least 5 of them. When we did kumihimo, I cut CD's for them. So now I am wondering if it would be possible to make forcellas. It doesn't seem very hard. Any good ideas? Ria riavdv at pandora dot be |

Ria, Several years ago DH made me one by finishing a scrap of wood
approximately 4" x 1" and drilling holes in it 1/2" apart. He made the forks by bending cut lengths of coathanger wire and polished the cut ends, which I then coated with clear nail enamel. I made a lot of hairpin lace until the apparatus got lost in one of many moves :- ( |
