Mother of pearl

Does anyone know where I can get what looks to be artificial "mother
of pearl" plastic sheet. It is about half a millimeter thick and
translucent in that a light behind the sheet highlights the pearl
effect. I guess it could also be descibed as a marble effect. Would
appreciate any suggestions.

Check into glass used for "stained glass" projects. It might be too
thick but there is some that resembles mother-of-pearl.
