Default Ot ,,,, telling a painter he should Embroider

Went to an exhibition and all the works shown were colored with pens,
and the painter made lines that looked as if they were embroidered, We
also have here a lady painter who piants as if she weaves and one who
paints as if she xst stiches ,,,,
So i approached the painter and told that his `lines` might look much
better and more original had he actually embroidered them .... he
looked at me and said "I am not a woman , and embroidery takes too
much time !!!" .....

Spew! that is seriously one of the funniest things I've heard in ages! He
took all the time to make it look stitched, but doesn't want to stitch.

And ......
A neighbor on mine showed me a stamped card - all little x's to look like
cross stitch on vellum.

LOL! Most men just don`t have the patience! I know what you mean - I cross
stitch as if
I paint!

Mind you, in all fairness, a lot of women don`t know where I find the
patience.

Don't yah just hate it when someone says - "Oh, I would never have the patience for that". I stitch in the car, on the train to work, when I'm watching tv and lots of other places. It doesn't take patience at all - it's what gives me patience! If I don't have my stitching with me I have to have something to read. About the only time that isn't true is if I'm in the car and travelling to somewhere I haven't been and then I 'rubberneck'.
