I can be silent no more on this subject of self-promotion.
I, for one, love looking at the things Kate has made (and
someone with such cute cats has to be a terrific person).

When Kate speaks of sewing bridesmaids dresses, all I
can think of is . . . does she get to keep the scraps for
crazy quilts?

I usually get to keep the scraps, but ALWAYS offer them to the customer
- legally, as they bought the fabric, every square millimetre belongs to
them. These are poly satin, not silk, so I wouldn't try them in a
quilt... And free bits like this are wonderful, as they mean I need to
buy less for the courses, saving the KCU's budget! The less I spend on
'stuff', the more cash there is to run more courses!

I like stuff like this for using in appliqu? with the kids - shinny
lilac heart shaped satin pockets with squeekers in, anyone?

Light-bulb moment!!! Thanks Kate! I have plenty enough scraps to
make another quilt, (already planned another 2, 1 is now a WIP!)
I've got satin from costume stuff, now all I need to do is find
some of those noisy squeeky things! My first applique project!

Adventerous or what?!?
