Start with Google on the web - do a search on spinning wheels, spinning
supplies, spindles, spinning and weaving stores... You'll come up with a bunch!
Maybe some even close to you. Plenty of places to mail-order from, too. Look
for a shop near you to cut down on the postage - I know Canada has several
spinning shops. Not to mention one the biggest names in wheel mfrs. - Louet.
Check out this link for their dealers in Canada:

http://www.louet.com/spincan.htm

Some other mfrs. are Ashford, Schacht, Majacraft, Babe, Clemes and Clemes

If you want to buy a used one - a heckuva lot cheaper - a good place to start
is the Spinner's, Knitter's and Weaver's Housecleaning page, at:

http://together.net/~kbruce/kbbspin.html

And Helen right here on RCTY sells really neat spindles with polymer clay
whorls. )

NAYY, they just look gorgeous!

Pick up a Spin Off magazine from the interweave press, lots of info in
there. Your local library will have books on making your own drop
spindle, and your local spinners and weavers Guild will indeed guide you.

Good luck with finding a wheel of making your own drop spindle
