Hi, I would like to knit a picture of Slipknot
Hi, I would like to knit a picture of Slipknot for my great-gran's
cardigan out of wool. Can anyone help me with the process? My great gran is an absolute mother of metal even though she's 104......... |

If you have a picture of whatever it is, exactly the size you want to make it, then you just copy it onto knitter's graph paper (which is rectangles of 2:3 proportions instead of squares - you can find it on the net and download a program to print your own). Then just knit it with one stitch per rectangle. If you can't find any knitter's graph paper, it's a bit harder, because after you copy it onto square graph paper, you have to recopy it adding 1/3 more rows so it comes out looking stretched tall. That takes a little fiddling but it can be done. =Tamar |
