Default Central IL Shop Hop, or Broke Quilters Unite Against Fat Quarters

My girlfriends and I did all sixteen of the shops between Thursday and
Saturday. I was going to be extremely good and not spend a lot of money. I
even had a list.

I went way over my budget, but managed to get everything on my list (and some
things that weren't). :-) It's those fat quarters! They sit there looking
all innocent and pretty and they say to you, but I'm only a fat quarter. I'm
not that much. And then I walk out with a handful.

I'm afraid I bought something at all but three of the shops. You'd think I'd
at least be able to resist in the four shops I visit on a regular basis, but
N-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o, not me!

Well, Maureen, all I have to say is....... congratulations on some great
S.E.X.!! You've been working hard enough lately to earn it, gal.

I think fat quarters are like chocolates. You can't eat just one!!!

Hahahhahah. Those fat quarters remind me of penny candy. They are so
little and innocent looking. They are deadly.

I was at TSWLTH last week and they had a bunch of FQ for $1. I bought all
kinds of weird colors that are way outside my comfort zone. I will buy
anything for $1.

I'm not sure I can remember all the names but I'll give it a shot:

In Springfield, Calico Heart and Sew Unique
Peace and Applique in Rochester
Sew Many Friends in Lincoln
Quilter's Delight in Clinton
The Treadle and Sewing Studio in Bloomington/Normal
Quilt Corner in Morton
Peddlar's Way in Washington
A shop in Metamora but the name is escaping me at the moment (although I know
I know it, I've bought enough there!!)
The Metamora shop's sister shop, Cotton Stitches, in Pekin
My Quilt Space in Canton
A darling little shop in Avon.
A shop in Macomb
A shop in Astoria
and Ma's Got a Notion in Havana
