And on the relist page there are three options.
1. relist at a price you want 2. relist at half the price of the first listing 3. 99c eBay even puts it there for use as a choice right on the relist page. That explains why I've missed it...I don't do turnaround relists. KarenK |

X-No-Archive: yes
**Great new** on whatever you're doing so potential bidders don't have to wade through "relists" (AKA repeatedly unsold items ;-) That was my main beef with the site. I hope you do get a lot more traffic and sales and sellers and bidders from the eBay fees thing... Mary T. 8-) Aunt Molly's Bead Street http://www.flash.net/~mjtafoya eBay: seriousbeader |

I must be using words wrong again. To me your discovery of lampwork, like
mine, sounds like a natural progression of maturation of beading interest. I thought I heard people saying many people discover lampworking by bopping around on eBay, out of the blue, someone uninterested in beads. And I had been surprised by that. I agree - people aren't born knowing about beads. They stumble upon them somehow - I've had quite a few customers "discover" lampwork on ebay, and then buy from me. My friend did. He came across lampwork and emailed me about it because it
looked like it could be used in jewellery. He was letting me know there was a world of cool glass! Like I needed to know about more cool glass! He'd never heard me talk about it either! Charlie. Bless you! I put the shipping costs clearly in the auctions, and have used a flat rate to save time and confusion as the sets are pretty much similar in weight. It saves time and hassle and people wondering how much extra it will cost to get the beads shipped. And a number of very clued-in people have paid when they win without having to be invoiced, which is nice. When everything is spelled out clearly I always pay immediately, it saves everyone time and energy and the beads/findings get here that much quicker!!! Who wants to wait! Now that I don't trust or use PayPal I have to double check that payment options include credit/debit cards. But still, making everything clear makes it easier for everyone... I sometimes just walk away from auctions I may have been very interested in if I have to work too hard at finding info or if the info is just not there. Polly ===== |

The original problem was my gullibility (stupidity, naivete, trusting nature etc)... I got duped with a stolen credit card in a now familiar and well know scam. "I am buying the necklace set for an ex-gf's wedding gift. Could you please send this cash amount, which I will send to you by Western Union, for her as well? I don't want her new husband to know it came from me." Ahhhh, so sweet! Me = idiot. The problem escalated when PayPal would not work with me, to go after the 'other' guy, even when I gave them verifiable email addresses, physical addresses and phone numbers. To be honest it was my fault... And I believed that I would be treated as a merchant not as the criminal. As it stands now I owe PayPal a lot of money ($1000+) and offered to try to work with them to pay it back. But they said it was 'pay in full' or it would be sent to collection. Because of the last 3 yrs of medical bills (pre-Medicare coverage) my (once good) credit is shot so I just explained to the collection company that as soon as I inherited a lot of money or won the Louisiana Lottery I would be glad to pay in full, in the meantime very small monthly payments would be all I could manage. The collection agent was actually a really nice guy and said he would get back with me but I have heard nothing for over a month. So I like to blame PayPal but they were responsible for problems only after the fact. I am responsible for not being cynical and suspicious and not checking every detail/asking every question. such is life... we pray for wisdom and receive plenty of lessons!!! Polly |
