Default 5 am wake up call

Woke up at 5 am. with a smell that would wake the dead. Did my hubby wake
up, no. My golden retriever had piles of diarrhea all over the bedroom rug.
He usually tells me when he has to go out, but he didn't this morning.
Thought I had cleaned it all up and still smelled something I couldn't find.
When my hubby finally got out of bed he let out a yell. Found it when he
stepped in it. Revenge is always rewarded when you ignore the need to help
out. I had to steam clean the carpet before going to work today. Oh well,
just another straw that breaks the camels back.

I can so feel your pain over this one! Our cat decided to do much the same
thing about 3 nights ago...she started retching in the kitchen, on the nice,
easy to clean linoleum....but could she stay there? oh heck no...she had to
make her way onto the carpet...in 4 places, of course! *sigh*

I am hoping we will not have a repeat performance tonight. I should add I
had to take him outside and squirt him off on the back end because golden
retrievers have long hair. I have since cut his fur on his bottom. LOL.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry over your story. Don't dos just seem to
know when you're deep in stress ---- and then add to it!

Well, if those were my only two choices, and I didn't have to consider the
clean-up, I'd choose carpet too!

Oh Roxan! Poor you!

We laugh about the time one of our dogs ate Chinese food. Years ago, hubby
and I had two dogs. One of them, a stray that I had before we were married,
had an iron stomach, and the other, we adopted from the shelter, and we
weren't yet aware of what kind of stomach she had!

One night, we brought home some Chinese food. We gave the leftovers to the
dogs, not even thinking about it. Iron Stomach boy was fine, but the Tender
Tummy girl was not! We went to bed, and early the next morning, I woke up
to the most horrible smell! What didn't come out one end, came out the
other! It was so gross!! And to top it off, she was a dachshund, and was
sleeping under our bed. We had to move the bed to clean the carpet under
it!
