I went to the cardiologist on Monday, and the first thing she said when

she
saw me was "Boy, your disease has really progressed. Are you in a lot of
pain?"

She hadn't seen me in several months while she took maternity leave.

Having
her start with that, instead of telling me about her twins was a bit of a
shock. She listened to my lungs and told me that there is no air moving

in
the lower part of the lungs at all, and she hears lots of fluid. (this is
not good)

I have to go for a modified stress test tomorrow. Modified because I

cannot
walk well enough for a regular stress test. Also, on the way out I got to
stop at the vampire lab to have some blood drawn.

Yesterday, I got a rather cryptic message from the doctor's office: "We

have
the results of your blood test, and need to see you right away. Come see

Dr.
Black right after your stress test." (Dr. Black is my primary care doctor.
He and my cardiologist share a practice)

Uh-Oh. I don't like the sound of that. I called the office and got the
doctor's assistant, and she wouldn't tell me anything. "Dr. Black says he
has to speak with you himself. Just don't skip it, okay Kath?"

Wish me luck guys. This doesn't sound like I'm getting good news.

Hi Kathy, it doesn't sound good to me either. Hope it's just crypic
doctor-speak. Will be thinking about you and sending out good healing
thoughts.

Hugs,
Pam

smacks head

as soon as Ken gets out of the....private consultation room...I will have
him take the measurements.

As far as the other questions...

hair, not sure. It's right at shoulder length. It will probably be down,
but I can't swear to it. cringes Sorry...

Ken says he wants blue and silver for the wedding day (and I was thinking
along the lines of pale melon.....argh. Can't think of the
colors...basically erinite and padparasha, but pastel. not "brilliant" like
those. So I think white would be good. If I did blue (not sure if he means
royal...) in royal and baby, and silver and white, then I can have a decent
wedding bouquet, and he can have his colors...with the blue/silver, I would
"have" to go with white over ivory...(the reason is he wants "elegant". I
think he feels that he needs to "impress" his relatives...and the
silver/blue (or burgundy, or other colors like that) would portray those
feelings...

I would *love* a veil. I am not sure what length a veil should be? I *was*
at first thinking a dress that I could wear another time, then started
looking at wedding gowns with trains...now, I can't even "look" at
"informal" length...wah!

Silver. :-)

You need around the head, and from...ear to ear? was it?

Yeah kiddo. I am appreciative of your prayers, but I'm going to strangle

you
if I don't get a head measurement from you! :-)

Also, I want to know how you plan to wear your hair (within reason: "up"

or
"down" is a perfectly good answer) Even though I always wore my hair up
(still do), I wore it down to the middle of my back on my wedding day.

Do you want Ivory, White or some other color for your veil/headpiece?

Do you prefer gold or silver?

Do you want a long veil, short veil or no veil at all?

Inquiring minds NEED to know -- I have a cabinet with your headpiece

supplies
all waiting, and I really want to get started. It'll keep my mind of
whatever crappy news I'm going to get tomorrow. If I was a betting woman,
I'd say diabetes, thyroid or kidney problems. I don't want to deal with

any
of those. Help me keep my mind on your wedding and not on possible crappy
diagnoses.

Love,

Kathy N-V

Crap. I hate it when they do that. My pain management doc called me at
home and had news for me last week. I hate that feeling though. Wish we
were there to be with you. Hugs!

around the head, 22 1/2".

from ear to ear (tip to tip): 12 1/2. He said "crevice to crevice" = 12
3/4.

Hope that helps, and can't wait!
