Default cooking poly clay - when is it done?

I followed the instruction and cook the clay for 15 min at 275F. When I
removed it, it is still elastic. Does that mean it's not cooked, or does it
harden after it cools down? I ended up cooking it a few more minutes until
it hardened. But I'm not quite sure if it was necessary.

The usual rule of thumb is 15-20 min for every 1/4" thickness. So, if
you have a piece that's 1/2" thick, you'd bake it for about 40 min.

It's normal for a piece to still be elastic when warm. However, if it's
still that way when completely cooled, you can rebake it with no ill
affects.

http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/baking.htm has some wonderful resources.

Nurturing doesn't end at birth: breastfeed, co-sleep, babywear.

There is a very fine line between a hobby and mental illness.
