Default bed slippers

Hi

I have been searching the internet for a pattern for bed slippers
preferrably knit but haven't had any luck. I am hoping to make some
of these slippers for a veterans hospital.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much.

I make a pair that turn out similar to ankle boots'; however I don't have a
photo.

You cast on 60 stitches; Do 10 rows garter stitch.

Next row knit 27 stitches; sl 1; knit 1; psso, knit 2; knit 2 together; knit
to end of row.

Next row purl

Next row knit 26; sl 1; knit 1; psso, knit 2; knit 2 together; knit to end
of row;

Continue in this decreasing pattern until there are 30 stitches remaining on
needle; then knit 10 rows garter stitch (top edge of boot); bind off.

Fold slipper in half stitching up the sole and back of the boot.

I hope this makes some sense. I did get this pattern off the internet but
cannot locate it at this moment.

I use leftover yarn and change needle sizes according to size of desired
slipper. Size 9 needle with worsted weight seems pretty medium. These work
up quick for making a bunch.

Good luck,

Carol
