Art Fair Advice
I'm a newbie to the art fair scene and am looking for advice. I have a
copy of "The Michigan Crafter Magazine". Now I just need figure out which shows to choose, how many should I apply to, where to find display units, should I accept credit cards, if so can I get the best deal, etc. Any advice you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! RJ |

Start out slow and do a few that fit your pocket book and are close to home.
It can cost a lot to travel to a show that will require you to stay in a hotel and big entrance fees to the show. Get some smaller shows under your belt before spending a lot of money on a show that doesn't fit your work. All you need to start is a tent and a few tables, then after doing a few shows you will find out what you need. Check out a few show before doing them this way you can talk to vendors and find out how the shows are done. Look at how the vendors have their things displayed see what could work for you. Credit cards are good but can be very costly. I am still looking at getting credit card machine myself. Most credit card machines can not be used without electricity, so you are still taking a big chance that when you get home the card wasn't checked and it may not be good. Here is a site that is very helpful. Roxan http://www.landofodds.com/store/craftshows.htm "Rebecca Thomas" wrote in message news I'm a newbie to the art fair scene and am looking for advice.
