Waistcoat/vest Help
I am making a waistcoat for my daughter. She is a size 32 inches
I have made the back and one front and I measured it and realised it would measure a bare 32inches when finished. Question Do I need to pull out it all, inluding the back, or can I just reknit the fronts a bit bigger? ie ratain the back as is, and knit the fronts to fit 34 inches All help would be gratefull accepted Ophelia |

Ophelia,
I would think that you could make the fronts a little bigger. You could also try just making 2 panels to sew at each of the underarm/side seams. Hope this helps. Good luck. Divide the amount of width that you want to add by two. On each side of the
front OR back, pick up stitches along what would be the seamed edge from the bottom to the arm hole, and knit the required amount. This method will save you having to sew an extra seam when finishing, and the insert may be worked in pattern if you wish. Moss stitch is *flexible* and looks very nice when done. DA -- It ain't the jeans that makes your butt look fat. "Ophelia" wrote in message ... I am making a waistcoat for my daughter.
