Thought that might be it. The little barrels I use are smooth so my hair doesn't tangle in it. My hair works its way in between the two halves of the barrel. It's *very* fine and thick. I like them because they don't come undone even when I forget to take something off, or deliberately leave it on. I'm coming to appreciate toogles to for that quality. How can toggles be made to be adjustable? Hmm. Maybe on the bar side of the toggle, you could link a few extra jump rings; or with a jump ring you could attach a length of chain which could be cut to the desired length. * TL * |

I like barrel clasps -- but my hair, while long and very thick, is not particularly fine. As long as I pull the barrel around to the front to fasten & unfasten it, I have no trouble with my hair getting caught in it.
