The "Boulevard," as we locals call it, is on the way to Silver Springs,
so that's why a visitor would think the Whippoorwill LQS is in Silver
Springs instead of Ocala. LOL

I stand corrected! I always think it is in Silver Springs because it

Silver Springs Blvd.

Well, as of the 15th of next month, I will be a home owner in Ocala, so I'd
better get with the program, huh?

The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
The Whippoorwill is in Ocala
......etc............

No, I'm not buying anything, Mom is putting her home in my name for obvious
reasons.

Alice, now no one will forget! LOL We should get together the next
time you make it to Silver... errr... Ocala!

Have you checked with assessor's office? Owner must be resident as of
Jan. 1 to get $25,000 Homestead exemption. Go here for info:

questions.

Thanks, Dot. My son took advantage of that. I will still live in NJ so
they consider me a part-time resident. As such, I don't qualify for that
tax benefit.

My car knows it's there!Keeps wanting to turn in there!
Quilter's barn is nice now-they've really changed their attitude in there.I
got some lovely batiks the last time I was up there.
Is that shop in Browns Mills still open? They had a lot of stuff in there.I
keep meaning to take a drive out that way,but Miss Katerina doesn't like
riding in the car for very long.

You know, I like the Village Quilter, but I have to remember it's there.
They have a small fabric selection, but it's nice fabric and you can

usually
get coordinating fabrics if needed. I tend to go to Joann's if I am

grocery
shopping but if I am going to do damage, I go to Quilter's Barn in
Allentown.

Alice,
You don't go to the quilt store in town? I usually don't either as they
don't have too much.Joann has a much better selection.

I have a Joanns in the same shopping center as the Acme where I shop.
Bonus - it's in an enterprise zone so they charge half the normal

sales
tax
(3% instead of 6% in my case).

My favorite shops are stand alone itineraries - not on the way to or

from
anywhere!

I hit two of them to and from my mom's in Florida - the new shop in

Deland
and the Whippoorwill in Silver Springs.

Howdy!
There's a quilt shop on the way home from the dentist's office;
well, there is if I go that way! After bravely enduring yet

another
tooth filling, don't I deserve a little prize (besides the pencil

w/
the
funky eraser)? Of course I do!
So on the way to the post office to mail my baseball squares,
I stopped at the s.Arlington quilt shop, E.S.P. (I met you & your
parents there, Roberta Z.), which is just a 1/2 block up the

street
from the dentist (it really is, altho' I don't live in that

direction
g),
and *mercy!* did I find some goodies. Get 10% discount w/
guild membership card, get 20% discount for clearing the bolt,
and get a bag of really beautiful fabric, some for autumn, some

for
now, some Spectrix, some Hoffman, some I dunno' who made it.
Brought it home, set it to whirl in the washing machine

(conveniently
located by the back/garage door), and I'm feeling so much better.

;-D

So, wanna' tell us, what's your quilt shop on the way from or to
or just barely off your intended path---?

Cheers!
Ragmop/Sandy--what's 100ºF for, if not to duck into the a/c-ed

LQS?!!!?

You're welcome. So long as y'all know about the exemption. It's worth
about $500 -- that's a lot of stash shopping!

BTW, I enjoyed visiting your website. Keep the snow! I plan on making
the needlecase *soon* as I need one. I have a website not connected
with quilting -- yet! As the saying goes: "Sew little time..." g

She is a doll baby! I saw you in Joann's recently. You were with your
hubby and son and the baby. Didn't want to intrude, but when I heard the
baby's name mentioned, I knew it was you.

I never go downtown, always taking the bypass or 206, so I don't get tempted
to pull in to the Village Quilter lot. Don't know about the Brown's Mills
store.

close to that.LOL
